history and souvenir of the Knebworth Festivals 1974 - 79
A beautifully presented limited edition commemorative set containing
67 separate items. Limited to just 1,500 worldwide it is bound
to appreciate. Each set is numbered and signed by Knebworth
promoter Freddy Bannister and can be personally dedicated if
you wish. The set includes:
All the reprinted programmes, handbills and tickets from the
first six festivals which featured The Allman Bros, Pink Floyd,
The Rolling Stones, Genesis, Zappa/Tubes and Led Zeppelin. Also
included is a box of 43: 6" x 8" photographs including
some never seen before of the Stones and Led Zeppelin. Plus
a 55-minute DVD featuring clips from various festivals and entitled
The Spirit of Knebworth. In addition there is a 330-page book
written by Freddy Bannister containing many illustrations and
loads of behind the scenes and backstage stories, including
exactly what did happen at Led Zeppelin's last ever UK gigs.
All housed in a deluxe fitted box.
The set now comes with a free gift of 12 CDs and 2 DVDs
The set is priced at £120, which includes special delivery
postage in the UK.

330 page paperback book by promoter Freddy Bannister, entitled
'Just Broken Even' covering his early days promoting club dates
in the sixties, working in small halls with such legendary figures
as The Beatles, The Stones, Gene Vincent, Ike and Tina Turner,
Roy Orbison, and later The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Frank
Zappa etc and of course Led Zeppelin and his first dealings
with their manager, Peter Grant. It also describes in detail
the inside stories behind the 1969 and 1970 Bath Festivals of
Blues as well as The Lincoln Folk Festival and comes complete
with the three reprinted programmes, handbills, tickets plus
an album of 28 photographs from these events. The boxed set

The 1974 Knebworth set commemorates the very first Knebworth
festival with The Allman Brothers, Doobie Bros, Van Morrison,
Tim Buckley, The Mahavishnu Orchestra and The Alex Harvey Band.
It was the festival that helped make Knebworth the legend it

This commemorative set celebrates the fact that Pink Floyd appeared
at both the 1970 Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music
and the 1975 Knebworth Festival. Produced in a limited edition
of 200 it contains:

both the Bath 1970 and Knebworth 1975 festivals.

An amazing just discovered 27 mins. Film of Pink Floyd at the
1970 Bath Festival performing for the first time ever Atom Heart
Mother with the John Aldiss Choir and the Phillip Jones Brass
Ensemble conducted by John Aldiss.
(Although a little grainy it is very viewable and the sound
is very good.)
DVD2
From the Lincoln Folk Festival 1971 with Sonny Terry and Brownie
McGhee sitting in the back of a limo on the way to the festival
being interviewed by a BBC reporter which they conclude by giving
an impromptu concert. Also on the DVD are James Taylor, Tom
Paxton, etc. This film is very rare - the BBC has not kept a
copy.

The Spirit of Knebworth. A 50 mins DVD covering the various
Knebworth festivals between 1974 – 1979, with The Rolling
Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd (including probably their best ever performance
of Free Bird), Led Zeppelin and Genesis with rare band interviews
and several numbers from both their sound check and performance.

The 1976 Knebworth Fair featured the Rolling Stones ( playing
their longest set ever ) 10cc, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Todd Rundgren,
Hot Tuna, Don Harrison Band.
The Commemorative set devoted to this unique event and produced

was taken from graffiti written on the steps leading up to the
stage by Peter Rudge, the Rolling Stones manager at that time.
